About

ZROPRO (also known as ZERO or Z) is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work explores everyday life through humor, character, and repetition. Working across illustration, murals, sticker art, and product design, his practice is rooted in accessibility bringing art out of traditional spaces and into the public environment.

At the center of his work is “PJ the Pigeon,” an anthropomorphic character created in 2007. PJ represents the everyday person navigating the unpredictability of city life experiencing both its highs and lows. Through PJ and a recurring cast of bird characters, ZROPRO captures fleeting thoughts, personal observations, and shared emotions, often balancing sarcasm with sincerity.

His sticker practice plays a key role in this exploration. Placed in public spaces and encountered unexpectedly, these small works function as visual interruptions moments of humor, reflection, or relatability within the city landscape. Each piece often includes a handwritten phrase, reinforcing a direct and personal connection with the viewer.

Influenced by graffiti, pop culture, and nostalgia, ZROPRO’s work blurs the line between street art and design. By combining playful imagery with honest expression, he creates a body of work that is both approachable and introspective, inviting audiences to see themselves in the characters and moments he depicts.

Z’s artwork has appeared in exhibitions and events at notable establishments such as the Brooklyn Historical Society, Brooklyn Museum Shop, The High Line, the Museum of Modern Art Design Store, Reed Space NYC, Vertical Gallery, Harman Projects, Microsoft Xbox One, ComplexCon, and NY Comic Con.
